Sweet, sun-kissed, and proudly Filipino premium Guimaras mangoes stole the spotlight at this year’s International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines, showcasing the rich agricultural heritage and world-class quality of the island’s famed produce.
From May 22-24, 2025, FAST Logistics Group proudly featured premium Guimaras mangoes at IFEX Philippines held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
This milestone represents the first-ever transport of Guimaras mangoes using a dedicated ColdChain vehicle, a move that preserved their freshness, flavor, and quality from harvest to exhibition.
Upon arrival, the mangoes were stored at the FAST ColdChain Hub Cavite, a state-of-the-art facility equipped with 13,000 pallet positions, multi-temperature zones, and real-time monitoring systems to maintain precise temperature control. This ensured the mangoes remained in peak condition until they were showcased to the public.

Guimaras Mangoes: The First Philippine Fruit with GI Registration
Visitors at IFEX were treated to the unmistakable sweetness of Guimaras Mangoes, which drew admiration not only for their flavor but also for their distinction as the first and only Philippine fruit with Geographical Indication (GI) Registration.
Granted by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) in April 2023, the GI certification acts as a seal of authenticity, confirming that only mangoes grown and harvested in Guimaras can be officially labeled as “Guimaras mangoes.”
The provincial government enforces strict quality standards. Growers must obtain a Certificate of Mango Registration from their Punong Barangay, submit it for government inspection before harvesting, and ensure mangoes are picked at least 115 days after flower induction during the summer season. Each fruit must also meet a TSS Brix level of at least 16 degrees, guaranteeing the signature sweetness Guimaras mangoes are known for.
IFEX Showcase: Bringing Guimaras to the World Stage
FAST collaborated with the Department of Trade and Industry’s Supply Chain and Logistics Group and the Provincial Government of Guimaras to mount the exhibition booth dedicated to the island’s mangoes. The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) also extended its support by providing the exhibition space free of charge.
Through this partnership, the iconic Guimaras mango not only gained international exposure but also stood as a testament to the power of collaboration, where logistics innovation and local agriculture work hand in hand to elevate Filipino products to the global stage.
